Owner / Manager / Stylist
I started dreaming of becoming a hairstylist at the age of 15. I cultivated that yearning throughout my high school years until I received a scholarship to attend cosmetology school in Eau Claire, WI. After graduating at the top of the class and gaining experience at a salon in Eau Claire for one year, I moved to Hayward and managed a salon for 5 years. This was my source of inspiration that finally led me to opening a salon of my own, Town & Country, in 1976. Opening my own salon and giving birth to three daughters proved to be the goal of a lifetime!
We have now been operating in full-swing for 37 years and the salon has undergone many cosmetic changes and additions. We have added a full line of services and retail products that will completely satisfy your needs.
Hair coloring, cutting and designing remain my expertise and I never grow tired of creating new looks for my clients. My experience and my desire for the cosmetology field seem to continuously grow as I seek new items of interest for our team to utilize with excitement and knowledge.
I am a member of Fashion Group International, Professional Beauty Association, National Health and Wellness, Cambridge Who’s Who of Leading National Professionals and a member of the Hayward Area Chamber of Commerce. I was honored and proud to create 27 styles in Prom Magazine 2007 for dress designer DeBora Rachelle. I favorably assist the Cosmetology School at WITC in Rice Lake, WI and the Hayward High School yearly with upcoming graduates on Career Day in conducting mock interviews for future positions in the area.
We consistently fulfill our customer’s wishes with donation of their hair to Locks of Love.
Mandatory annual education is required for all staff to stay informed about the newest trends and happenings within the beauty industry. As a team we enjoy pooling new ideas and applying new techniques to our salon.
We have collectively styled hair for many Hayward High School plays, along with local community fashion shows.
I attended Cosmetology School in Eau Claire, WI and graduated at the highest level. I immediately took on a position in Chippewa Falls, WI for three and a half years. After I married and moved to Hayward, WI, I took my accumulated knowledge and landed a great job at Town & Country Beauty Salon and I have been enjoying my position here for 35 years. I love the diversity of cosmetology which in turn blends my complete interest in all spectrums of beautifying an individual. It is a constantly challenging and changing profession that allows us to learn new techniques and keep up with the latest trends. I have built a clientele of customers who look forward to my designs, cuts and styles. My expertise remains in perming and coloring my customer’s hair to perfection. I yearly look forward to all education presented to me to grow as a stylist.
I attended Cosmetology School in WITC in Rice Lake, WI where I graduated in 2005 with honors and I was the State of Wisconsin Skills USA 2005 winner in the cosmetology division. I continued on to the National competition in Kansas City in June of 2005 and won 4th place. I immediately opted for the professional hairstylist position at Town & Country where I have enjoyed my position for the past 8 years. I take pride in creating new colors, cuts and styles that work with the individual needs of every client. I excel at our many spa services such as pedicures, facials, waxing and make-up. Cosmetology represents an amazing field of excitement with many interests to beautify an individual. I have built up a great clientele who enjoy my hair cutting techniques, designs and hair coloring skills. All salon education is exciting to me that I look forward to progress as a hairdresser.
